Esther Hocking

Soft Tissue Therapist

Esther is a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist trained to assess, treat and rehab minor musculoskeletal injuries.

What she really does, is use manual therapy – and neuromuscular pain relieving techniques to help people feel good, move well and live a better and more active life Over the last 15 years, she developed a strong interest in pain, injury and rehabilitation stemming from both her own running injuries and her children’s sports and growth-related aches and pains.

This led her to re-train with the Institute for Sports and Remedial Massage, eventually completing her BTEC LEVEL 5 in Soft Tissue Therapy.

Her personal experience and interests combined with the most up to date evidencebased training and biopsychosocial approach to pain, have helped her become an outstanding, knowledgeable and compassionate therapist. She treats the person rather than the injury.

Esther believes that movement is key to helping people with chronic pain feel better physically as well as mentally.

She practices what she preaches. She regularly and consistently attends Strength & Conditioning sessions at the gym and enjoys long walks and running with her dog She is French and having lived in the Netherlands until the age of 18, also speaks German and Dutch fluently.

Esther moved to London in 1998 before settling down in Cornwall 2008 with her husband and two children.

Kirsty Anthony-Johns

Soft Tissue Therapist

Kirsty qualified as a Soft Tissue Therapist (level 5) at the end of 2018. She was Predominantly treating friends and family alongside her office job. Kirsty started at Align Chiropractic at the beginning of 2022 providing expert massage to all our clients.

‘I have suffered with lower back pain on and off for years and from having so many treatments myself, I decided to learn about how the human body works and benefits from massage, in order to help my understanding of my back pain, as well as now being able to help others. I too regularly have Chiropractic in order for me to keep doing everything I want to be able to do.

Outside of work I enjoy coastal and moorland walks, running, swimming and even a bit of bouldering. Obviously being Cornish I too enjoy gig rowing for Flushing & Mylor Gig Club.

I look forward to meeting you all and helping you to feel great.

Sarah Murray

Chiropractor DC

After graduating from the University of South Wales with a Masters of Chiropractic, Sarah has over 7 years experience in treating and caring for people with a wide variety of conditions.

‘I first saw a Chiropractic after a car crash on the M5, I was fascinated by it and my Chiropractor encouraged me into the profession. I really love being able to help people feel how I did after my first appointment. There is such a joy from seeing someone recover and embrace Chiropractic into their general wellbeing. I love working with people of all ages, I like the diversity it brings to my day but most of all I like being able to get people to their goals. My approach to care consists of high quality hands treatment, specific rehabilitation, and a heavy emphasis on gaining a movement routine.

Outside of work I enjoy gig rowing with Coverack gig club, walking my Cocker Spaniel Nelly, socialising with friends and family, swimming, sailing and creating a life with my partner Ed.

I look forward to welcoming you into my clinic, listening to you, and working with you to meet your wellbeing goals.’
